Christian businessman faces threats in Sialkot

Sialkot has been recently shaken by a disturbing incident involving Kamran Ilyas, a Christian businessman who faced severe threats and violence against himself and his family. The ordeal began when two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle intercepted Ilyas, issuing life-threatening warnings if he did not halt his business activities. Subsequently, Ilyas took the courageous step of lodging a formal complaint at Police Station Nikapur in Sialkot, recounting the harrowing encounter. However, his distress escalated as he accused the Station House Officer (SHO) of displaying bias and favoritism towards the perpetrators.

Feeling abandoned by the authorities, Ilyas sought justice through legal channels, turning to the court to address the threats and intimidation inflicted upon his family. This incident sheds light on the challenges faced by individuals striving to uphold their livelihoods amidst threats and violence, underscoring the importance of a fair and just legal system.

In a separate development, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) celebrated Eid with troops at the frontline in North Waziristan, demonstrating solidarity and support for the armed forces stationed in challenging environments.
