The government is considering legal action against PTI for alleged social media misuse. FIA investigation reveals controversial content on Imran Khan's account.

The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has revealed that the government is contemplating taking legal action against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. This decision will be made once the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) completes its investigation into the PTI's social media activities. Recently, key PTI leaders, including Barrister Gohar, Omar Ayub, and party spokesperson Raoof Hasan, were summoned by the FIA due to allegations of misusing Imran Khan's official account to spread controversial content against state institutions.

On May 26, a video shared on Imran Khan's account stirred controversy. The video featured Imran Khan urging Pakistanis to delve into the Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report to identify the true traitor between General Yahya Khan and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The video implicated the former military dictator in the country's division, shedding light on the alleged atrocities committed by the Pakistani military during the civil war. Furthermore, it included visuals of the current civilian and military leadership, accusing them of stealing the PTI's electoral victory.

The ongoing investigation into the PTI's social media activities has sparked significant debate and scrutiny. As the FIA delves deeper into the matter, the government's potential legal action against the PTI remains a focal point of discussion. It is crucial for all political parties to adhere to ethical standards in their online presence to maintain transparency and accountability.
