PTI Claims Missing Supporters Amid Rawalpindi Police Denial of Violence

Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfraz Alpa emphasized that the police were attacked by protesters who used various means of violence, including firearms and sticks. He reported that 170 police officers were injured during the protests, with some in critical condition.

The police have also stated that they have arrested over 1,150 protesters in connection with the unrest, including a number of Afghan nationals. They have registered 32 cases related to the protests, indicating a significant law enforcement response to the situation. The police maintain that their actions were necessary to restore order and protect public safety.
