During a recent session of the Punjab Assembly, Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan took a strict action by suspending the membership of 11 opposition members. This decision came in response to the chaos and disruption caused during Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's speech.

The suspended members were found guilty of various misconducts including violating rules, tearing up copies of the agenda, using inappropriate language, targeting the Leader of the House, and showing disrespect towards the sanctity of the Assembly while Maryam Nawaz Sharif was addressing the members.

The suspended opposition members are Zulfiqar Ali, Rana Shahbaz Ahmad, Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Tayyab Rashid, Muhammad Imtiaz Mahmood, Hafiz Farhat Abbas, Chaudhry Muhammad Ijaz Shafi, Rana Aurangzeb, Shoaib Ameer, Osama Asghar, and Asad Abbas. This disciplinary action serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining decorum and respect within the legislative body. It highlights the need for all members to conduct themselves appropriately and adhere to the rules and regulations set forth to ensure productive and respectful debates and discussions.
