Virat Kohli hosts birthday dinner for Anushka Sharma

Former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, recently hosted a birthday dinner for Anushka with Australian cricketers Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell as guests. The dinner took place at the renowned restaurant Lupa in Bengaluru, where Kohli praised Chef Manu Chandra for providing one of the best dining experiences they've had.

The couple's joyful evening was captured in a picture shared by du Plessis on Instagram, showing them in high spirits with friends. This marked Anushka's first public appearance since the birth of their son, Akaay. Kohli had previously penned a heartfelt message for Anushka on her 36th birthday, showcasing their strong bond and affection for each other.

Currently, Kohli is actively participating in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Despite a slow start to the season, RCB has managed to secure two consecutive wins in their recent matches. However, their chances of reaching the playoffs remain slim.

It's noteworthy that RCB, despite having cricketing legends like Chris Gayle, Maxwell, AB de Villiers, and Jacques Kallis, has never clinched the IPL title, despite reaching the final three times in 2009, 2011, and 2016.
