YMCA Lahore Honors Sohail Sisters for Sports Achievements

A special ceremony held at the YMCA Lahore honored the exceptional achievements of four sisters, Twinkle, Maryam, Cybil, and Veronica Sohail, who have brought pride to the nation through their success in international sports competitions. The sisters, renowned for their skills in kabbadi, powerlifting, and weightlifting, were recognized for their outstanding contributions to sports and were granted honorary memberships at the YMCA.

The event, attended by prominent figures including the Bishop of Lahore, Rt Rev Nadeem Kamran, and Amjad Javed Khan, CEO of National News Nama, highlighted the importance of supporting young athletes. Bishop Kamran praised the YMCA for acknowledging the Sohail sisters' achievements on regional, Asian, and global platforms, emphasizing the dedication and continuous support required for such accomplishments.

Emanuel Sarfraz, General Secretary of YMCA, commended the sisters for inspiring the youth, especially within the Christian community. By appointing the Sohail sisters as goodwill ambassadors, the YMCA aims to motivate more young individuals to strive for excellence. Sarfraz also called upon the first female Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, to personally meet the athletes and assist in resolving any challenges they may face.
