RIYADH: The excitement of youth taekwondo competitions reached its peak as the third Saudi Games wrapped up on Monday at Boulevard 2 in Riyadh. This event showcased the incredible talent and dedication of young athletes from across the nation, highlighting the growing popularity of taekwondo in Saudi Arabia.
During the medal ceremony, Shaddad Al-Amri, the president of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation, proudly presented medals to the winners, celebrating their hard work and achievements. In the fiercely contested 48 kg category, Abdullah Mushrif from Al-Shabab emerged victorious, claiming the gold medal. Khaled Al-Shahrani from Abha followed closely, securing the silver medal. The bronze medals were awarded to Alai Addin Al-Sisi from Al-Ahli and Nawaf Al-Bishi from Al-Hilal, both of whom displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship.
The competition continued to heat up in the 55 kg category, where Abdulrahman Al-Shahrani from Abha took home the gold. Tariq Zawawi from Herra earned the silver medal, while Abdulaziz Abu Faleh from Al-Hariq and Abdulrahman Al-Jabri from Al-Nassr each received bronze medals for their commendable performances.
In the 63 kg category, Abdullah Al-Dosari from Al-Noor showcased his talent by winning the gold medal, with Issa Mjarshi taking the silver. The bronze medals were awarded to Firas Al-Aliyo from Al-Salam and Rayan Al-Harthi from Al-Ittihad, both of whom demonstrated great determination throughout the competition.
The 73 kg category saw Rakan Al-Agha from Al-Ahli claim the gold medal, while Nawaf Hussein from Al-Hilal secured the silver. The bronze medals were awarded to Faisal Al-Mutairi and Ibrahim Al-Dosari, both representing Al-Shabab, who fought valiantly in their matches.
In the +73 kg category, Ahmad Bin Qasim from Al-Shabab emerged as the champion, winning the gold medal. Youssef Al-Madawi from Abha took home the silver, and Al-Hur Al-Hamadah from Al-Taraji claimed the bronze medal, rounding out a thrilling day of competition.
