Allama Iqbal Open University has integrated its Library Network with the official website, offering students and faculty convenient access to a wide range of academic resources online. This digital transformation enhances learning, research, and knowledge dissemination within the university community.
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has taken a significant step forward by integrating its Library Network with the university's official website through a Learning Management System (LMS). This development, announced recently, brings together a total of 50 libraries under one digital platform.
Guided by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood, this initiative now allows both students and faculty members to access a diverse array of academic resources online. These resources encompass a wide range of materials such as books, digital publications, research papers, theses, journals, the HEC Digital Library, research journals from the Open University, course materials, the Iqbal Gallery, the Digital Resource Center, the Siraat Corner, and a specialized center catering to visually impaired individuals.
With the implementation of the online library catalog, a dedicated mobile application, and the library's website, students, faculty, and researchers can seamlessly utilize these academic resources to support their educational and research endeavors.
The integration of AIOU's Library Network with its official website marks a significant advancement in providing convenient and extensive access to academic resources for the university's community. This digital transformation not only enhances the learning experience but also promotes research and knowledge dissemination among students and faculty members.
