Jazz, Google, and Tech Valley's Digital Safar program in Pakistan empowers youth with digital skills and online safety education. With strategic partnerships, the initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and prepare students for success in the digital era.

Jazz, in collaboration with Google and Tech Valley, recently marked the achievements of their flagship program, Digital Safar, launched in 2023. This initiative is designed to empower young individuals in Pakistan with essential digital skills and online safety education through Google's Be Internet Awesome and CS First programs.

The event held in Islamabad brought together key figures like Mr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Minister of Federal Education and Professional Training, to celebrate the program's success and discuss its future goals.

Since its inception, Digital Safar has already benefited over 100,000 students aged 9 to 14 years and trained more than 1,000 teachers. By 2025, the program aims to reach an additional 200,000 students and train 2,000 master trainers from schools across Pakistan.

CEO of Jazz, Aamir Ibrahim, expressed confidence in Digital Safar, highlighting the company's dedication to narrowing the digital divide in Pakistan. The initiative provides free internet access and devices to ensure all students can access quality digital education.

Farhan S. Qureshi, Country Director of Google Pakistan, praised the program for equipping young individuals with vital digital skills and promoting critical thinking.

Digital Safar integrates Google's Be Internet Awesome and CS First programs to address the increasing need for digital literacy among Pakistan's youth. The curriculum covers coding, computational thinking, digital citizenship, and online safety, tailored to various educational settings. Self-paced Urdu learning videos further enhance accessibility for teachers and students.

The success of Digital Safar underscores the significance of strategic partnerships in fostering a digitally literate Pakistan. By arming the youth with essential skills, this initiative aims to prepare them for success in the digital era.
