Dry Weather Dominates Pakistan, Isolated Rain Expected in Southern Regions

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a forecast indicating that dry weather will dominate most regions of the country over the next 24 hours. This prediction comes as the nation experiences a shift in weather patterns, with continental air currently prevailing across many areas.

While the majority of Pakistan is expected to remain dry, there are some exceptions. Isolated regions in the southern districts of Sindh and Balochistan may experience partly cloudy skies, along with gusty winds that could raise dust. Additionally, there is a possibility of rain and thunderstorms in these areas, which could provide some relief from the prevailing dry conditions.

In the past 24 hours, the weather has been predominantly hot and dry across the country. However, some areas, particularly in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and the coastal regions of Sindh, have witnessed isolated rain and thunderstorms. The rainfall recorded was minimal, with Parachinar in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa receiving just 1mm and Badin in Sindh also recording 1mm of rain. The highest temperatures during this period reached 39°C in both Turbat and Bahawalpur, highlighting the ongoing heatwave affecting many parts of the country.
