Karachi is set for mostly dry weather with light rain expected in suburbs. Stay informed about local weather conditions.
Karachi, the bustling metropolis of Pakistan, is gearing up for a mostly dry day on Thursday. This change in weather comes after a westerly wave that had previously impacted the region has started to weaken. While the city itself is not expected to witness any significant rainfall, residents in the suburbs may experience light rain or drizzling.
According to the Chief Meteorologist, Sardar Sarfraz, the likelihood of rain in Karachi is low due to a decrease in the intensity of monsoon winds. The weather is predicted to be partly cloudy and humid, with the current temperature hovering around 29°C. The Met Office has forecasted a maximum temperature range of 32 to 34°C for the city, while the minimum temperature recorded earlier was 27°C. Winds are currently blowing at a speed of 18 km/h, adding a slight breeze to the warm conditions.
As for the rest of the country, hot and dry conditions are expected to prevail. However, certain areas in eastern Sindh, including Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Mithi, and Tharparkar, may experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Additionally, regions in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and nearby hilly areas are also likely to see rainfall, along with gusty winds and thunderstorms.
While Karachi may enjoy a dry day, it is essential for residents to stay informed about the weather conditions, especially those living in the suburbs where light rain is anticipated. Keeping an eye on the weather updates can help individuals plan their day better, ensuring they are prepared for any sudden changes. As the climate continues to shift, understanding local weather patterns becomes increasingly important for everyone.
