China prepares to assume the SCO presidency, hosting a media delegation from 26 countries to explore advancements, foster cooperation, and showcase progress in technology, culture, and ecology.

China is gearing up to take on the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in July, marking a significant milestone in regional cooperation. To showcase its leadership role, China has arranged a special visit for a media representative from each of the 26 countries affiliated with the SCO. This nine-day visit, scheduled from July 1 to July 9, 2024, will offer a unique opportunity to explore China's advancements and strengthen ties within the SCO.

The delegation, consisting of 30 members, will be accompanied by officials from the Chinese Foreign Ministry's European Central Asian Affairs department and key SCO representatives. Their itinerary includes visits to Shanghai, Beijing, and Qingdao, where they will delve into China's progress in technology, culture, and ecology, gaining valuable insights into the nation's modernization efforts.

One of the highlights of the visit is a welcome dinner at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation for International Exchange and Judicial Cooperation in Shanghai, where the delegation will engage with prominent figures and discuss avenues for collaboration.
