Gandhi Accuses Modi of Destroying Employment System in India

During a public rally in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, Gandhi drew a stark contrast between the extravagant wedding of Ambani's youngest son and the financial struggles faced by farmers. He stated, "Have you seen Ambani's wedding? Ambani spent crores on the wedding. Whose money is this? It is your money.... You take bank loans to marry your children, but Narendra Modi ji has made such a structure under which the selected 25 people can spend crores on weddings, but a farmer can organize a wedding only after drowning in debt. If this is not an attack on the Constitution, then what is?"

Gandhi's remarks reflect a growing concern among the populace regarding the widening gap between the rich and the poor. He pointed out that while PM Modi has waived off loans worth Rs16 lakh crores for billionaires, he has failed to extend similar relief to farmers and students. This, according to Gandhi, constitutes a direct assault on the principles enshrined in the Constitution.

This is not the first instance where Gandhi has criticized PM Modi for allegedly favoring industrialists through policies that benefit them disproportionately. In previous parliamentary sessions, he has voiced concerns about the monopolistic control that a few industrialists have over the Indian economy, suggesting that their influence is detrimental to the democratic fabric of the nation. He famously referred to them as "A1 and A2" when he felt constrained from naming them directly in the House.
