Recent interviews with migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border illegally have shed light on growing concerns about security risks and unchecked entry into the country. A migrant from Turkey expressed surprise at the ease of crossing and highlighted the lack of security measures in place, emphasizing the potential threats posed by individuals with malicious intent.

In Jacumba Hot Springs, California, the interview revealed a trend of migrants seeking unlawful entry into the U.S. The San Diego sector, particularly Southern California, saw a significant influx of over 37,000 migrants last month, surpassing other border regions.

The Turkish migrant, part of a group denied visas multiple times, joined others in illegal border crossing. His concerns resonated with migrants from countries like Pakistan, India, Iran, Jordan, Bangladesh, and China, who shared apprehensions about unvetted individuals entering the U.S.

Of particular concern is the sharp increase in Chinese nationals attempting to cross the border, with a 7,000 percent rise in arrests compared to previous years. Reports also mention instances of illegal migrants trying to infiltrate American military installations, posing security risks.

Lawmakers, including Rep. Glenn Grothman, have raised alarms about incidents involving foreign nationals breaching military bases and conducting surveillance activities. The evolving tactics of foreign nationals, such as posing as delivery drivers or using drones for surveillance, underscore the need for heightened vigilance at the U.S.-Mexico border and military facilities to safeguard national security.
