The University of Sialkot and KIMEP University establish academic ties while authorities focus on enforcing minimum wage laws and combating human trafficking.
The University of Sialkot (USKT) and KIMEP University from Kazakhstan have joined hands to enhance academic cooperation and mutual progress. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was recently signed at KIMEP University's campus in Almaty, Kazakhstan, marking the commencement of a promising partnership between the two educational institutions.
This collaboration is geared towards fostering academic exchange, facilitating research collaboration, and initiating joint projects for the advancement of students, faculty, and the academic community in both countries.
The District Anti-Forced Labour Committee and Anti-Trafficking meeting held at the DC Office Committee Room underscored the significance of upholding minimum wage regulations and taking decisive actions against violators. Various officials from key departments such as the Labour Department, FIA, and the Child Protection Bureau participated in the meeting.
The gathering shed light on the perils associated with illegal immigration and human trafficking, urging young individuals and their families to recognize the hazards linked with attempting illegal migration. The FIA was instructed to intensify efforts in cracking down on agents engaged in these illicit activities.
The collaboration between the University of Sialkot and KIMEP University sets a positive tone for enhanced academic ties and knowledge sharing between Pakistan and Kazakhstan. Simultaneously, the commitment to enforcing minimum wage laws and combating human trafficking underscores the authorities' dedication to safeguarding labor rights and combating illegal activities. Such initiatives not only promote educational growth but also contribute to creating a safer and more ethical society for all.
