Saudi Arabia is taking significant steps towards nurturing its youth and upcoming leaders in the field of project management, as highlighted by a top official at the Global Project Management Forum in Riyadh. This event, attended by over 2,000 participants, showcases the Kingdom's dedication to fostering young talent as a cornerstone for substantial growth.

The region's proactive approach to grooming future leaders has received praise, with a strong emphasis on preparing them for upcoming challenges. Investments and cultural shifts are anticipated to bring about long-term advantages, paving the way for ongoing progress.

Americo Pinto, the managing director of the Project Management Office Global Alliance, has acknowledged the unique energy and enthusiasm in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, towards project management. He expressed his pleasure in collaborating with individuals from the region, highlighting their eagerness to learn and exchange experiences.

Pointing out the Middle East's increasing interest in project management, Pinto noted that the region boasts the highest number of PMOGA members, signaling a promising future for project management development. Saudi companies have actively participated in global awards, with Saudi Post clinching the prestigious World PMO of the Year award in 2023.

Pinto emphasized the growing significance of artificial intelligence (AI) in project management, identifying it as the most notable trend in the industry. He emphasized the necessity for companies to adopt AI to enhance their operations and overall performance, recognizing its transformative potential in project management offices.

PMO leaders are encouraged to acknowledge AI's influence and utilize its capabilities to drive efficiency and effectiveness in project management. Pinto predicted that AI would revolutionize project management by enabling predictive analysis and improving decision-making processes.

Established in 2017, PMOGA is a global community with over 17,000 members spanning 125 countries. The alliance, now owned by the Project Management Institute, continues to play a crucial role in advancing project management practices worldwide.
