CMOs in Pakistan protest against SIM card blocking

Cellular Mobile Operators (CMOs) in Pakistan are up in arms against the Federal Board of Revenue's recent decision to block over 0.5 million SIM cards. They have pointed out that the current legal framework, particularly the ITGO, lacks provisions for operators to issue prior notices before service suspension, creating further complications.

They propose extensive media campaigns and the issuance of show cause notices to ensure transparency and accountability.
