DC Studios unveils new Superman portrayal by David Corenswet

DC Studios co-CEO and Superman director James Gunn recently unveiled the first complete look at David Corenswet portraying Superman in the upcoming movie set to premiere on July 11, 2025. The suit worn by Corenswet's Superman features a unique twist with a dirtied or faded S symbol and arms, hinting at a fresh take on the iconic character. Titled 'Superman,' the film is a pivotal part of the rebooted DC Universe's Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, promising a new era for DC fans.

This rendition of Superman will not delve into the traditional origin story but will instead showcase a dynamic narrative that includes a diverse array of DC heroes and villains. Joining Corenswet in this star-studded cast are Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, and María Gabriela as The Engineer.
