The Pakistan National Council of Arts hosts Muhammad Sajjad Akram's 'Mureed o Murshid' exhibition, showcasing his spiritual artistry and poetry collection.

The Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) recently hosted a solo exhibition and poetry book launch by artist Muhammad Sajjad Akram, titled 'Mureed o Murshid.' The event, held at the PNCA premises in Islamabad, showcased Akram's diverse artistic talents and his exploration of spirituality within contemporary art.

During the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Arjumand Faisel, Curator Gallery 6, emphasized the spiritual themes depicted in Akram's works. Through a combination of paintings, sculptures, and installations, Akram delves into the profound relationship between teacher and student, drawing inspiration from his mentor, Irfan Hakim. His artistry incorporates elements of geometry, black and white illusions, and intricate patterns, reflecting a deep spiritual connection.

In addition to his visual art, Akram also unveiled a collection of Urdu and Punjabi poems, further enriching the cultural experience for attendees. The Director-General of PNCA, M. Ayoub Jamali, expressed appreciation for the celebration of Akram's unique talent and creative vision.

The exhibition 'Mureed o Murshid' is now open to the public for viewing daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with the exception of Saturdays when the gallery remains closed. Art enthusiasts, cultural aficionados, and visitors alike are invited to immerse themselves in Akram's captivating portrayal of spirituality and artistic expression.
