Provincial Minister Azma Bukhari meets CDRS CEO Todd Shea to discuss welfare projects in Punjab, Lahore, highlighting the importance of humanitarian services and collaborative efforts to improve the lives of vulnerable communities in Pakistan.

The Provincial Minister for Information & Culture, Azma Bukhari, recently held a meeting with CEO Todd Shea of Comprehensive Disaster Response Services (CDRS) Pakistan-USA to discuss ongoing welfare projects in Pakistan, particularly in Punjab, Lahore. The meeting focused on initiatives such as the House of Blessings for orphans, Animal Welfare Centres, and other related affairs.

During the meeting, Todd Shea provided a detailed overview of the development projects currently underway. Also present were Head CDRS Lahore Syed Mohsin, Director Fauzia Todd, Muhammad Faizan, and other officials.

Azma Bukhari commended CDRS for its efforts in serving the underprivileged, emphasizing the importance of humanitarian services in societal progress. She highlighted the Punjab government's commitment, under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to support the marginalized and vulnerable populations.

She specifically praised the establishment of welfare centers for orphaned children and destitute women in Lahore, recognizing the significant impact of such initiatives. Despite resource constraints, the Punjab government continues to prioritize the well-being of those in need through various welfare projects.

Todd Shea shared that CDRS has successfully completed over 750 clean water projects in Pakistan and is expanding its reach by opening centers for orphans and destitute women in Lahore and Islamabad, following similar establishments in Rawalpindi and Karachi.

In conclusion, the collaborative efforts between the government and organizations like CDRS reflect a shared commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable communities and promoting social welfare across Pakistan.
