Bus Accident in Balochistan Claims 28 Lives

On a fateful journey from Gwadar to Quetta, a bus carrying around 45 to 50 passengers met with a devastating accident near Wushuk region in Balochistan. The incident, triggered by a tire burst, resulted in the loss of at least 28 lives, including women and children, with nearly 20 others sustaining injuries.

Upon receiving the distressing news, rescue teams, police, and local authorities swiftly responded to the scene to assist the victims. Among the deceased were three women and three children, adding to the somber toll of the tragedy that unfolded around 5 am.

Efforts to rescue the injured were complicated by the remote location's lack of mobile network coverage. Despite the challenges, ten critically wounded victims were rushed to CMH Khuzdar for urgent medical care, while four others are set to be airlifted to Quetta for further treatment.

The identification of most of the deceased individuals is still pending, leaving families and authorities in a state of sorrow and uncertainty. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed profound grief over the loss of lives and emphasized the importance of providing the injured with the best possible medical attention.
