Tragic Road Accidents Claim Lives in Punjab

Two separate road accidents on Friday have left a trail of devastation in Mianwali and Bhera, Punjab. In the first incident near Turaab Interchange, a collision between a truck and a car resulted in the tragic death of a couple and injuries to three others. The car, headed towards Mianwali city, was struck by a speeding truck, claiming the lives of Riaz (44) and Yamna Bibi (33). Nouman (33), Fahim (23), and Zulqarnain (20) from Mujjg village were also injured and promptly taken to the hospital for treatment by the authorities.

Shortly after, another mishap occurred near Bhera Motorway Interchange, where a van carrying fifteen individuals overturned. The van, en route from Sargodha to Rawalpindi, toppled over due to a tire burst near Bhera Interchange. This unfortunate event led to injuries among four men, six women, and five children, all hailing from the Bhera area. The injured were quickly rushed to DHQ hospital Sargodha for necessary medical care by the dedicated Rescue-1122 team.
