Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has recently announced that the total number of voters in the country has reached an impressive 132.254 million. This significant figure highlights the growing engagement of citizens in the democratic process, as more individuals are registering to vote and participate in shaping the future of Pakistan.

Breaking down the numbers, the ECP reports that there are 71.076 million male voters and 61.177 million female voters in Pakistan. This means that male voters make up 53.74 percent of the total, while female voters account for 46.26 percent. The gender distribution of voters is crucial, as it reflects the participation of both men and women in the electoral process.

Looking at the provincial breakdown, Punjab leads with the highest number of voters, totaling 75.375 million. Within Punjab, there are more than 41.24 million male voters and over 35.176 million female voters. This indicates a robust voter base in the most populous province of Pakistan.

Sindh follows with a total of more than 27.736 million voters, comprising over 14.990 million male voters and more than 12.746 million female voters. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has a total of over 22.536 million voters, with male voters exceeding 12.260 million and female voters surpassing 12.757 million. Meanwhile, Balochistan has more than 5.526 million voters, including over 3.096 million male voters and more than 2.429 million female voters.

In the capital city, Islamabad, the number of voters stands at more than 1.154 million, with 605,031 male voters and 549,440 female voters.
