An accountability court approves pre-arrest bail for Bushra Bibi in a case involving £190 million loss to the national treasury, linked to an investigation by NAB. Imran Khan also granted bail in the same case. Legal proceedings continue with new witnesses testifying.

An accountability court has recently approved pre-arrest bail for Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, in a case involving an alleged £190 million loss to the national treasury. This decision comes after Imran Khan was granted bail in the same case by the Islamabad High Court. The case revolves around an investigation by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) into a settlement between the PTI government and a property tycoon.

Despite the bail granted to the couple, they remain in custody due to another legal matter. Their request for sentence suspension was turned down by a lower court. During the recent court session, NAB presented three new witnesses for cross-examination by the defense. To date, 30 witnesses have provided statements in the case, with 27 already undergoing cross-examination. NAB lawyers clarified that no arrest warrant has been issued for Bushra Bibi as of now. The court has set the next hearing for July 5 and has called for additional witnesses to testify.

The legal proceedings surrounding the £190 million reference case involving Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, continue to unfold. With the recent bail approvals and ongoing witness testimonies, the case remains a focal point of scrutiny. As the court proceedings progress, further developments are expected to shed light on the intricacies of the allegations and the defense's stance. Stay tuned for updates on this high-profile case.
