NAB Lahore Open Court Addresses Public Grievances and Compensation

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Lahore has taken significant steps to address the grievances of citizens affected by various scams and fraudulent activities. In a recent open court session held by NAB Lahore Director General (DG) Amjad Majeed Aulakh, approximately 200 individuals gathered to seek justice and compensation for their losses. This initiative reflects NAB's commitment to transparency and accountability, providing a platform for the public to voice their concerns directly to the authorities.

Among the prominent cases discussed were the ForU Real Traders scam, the Grow Impact Bold Vision scam, and the Prime Zone scam. Additionally, many individuals from various housing societies, including Khayaban-e-Ameen, Park View, and Lahore Motorway City, attended the session to present their complaints. This open court session is part of NAB's monthly efforts to ensure that the voices of the affected citizens are heard and addressed.

During the session, DG Aulakh emphasized that NAB is unique in its approach to self-accountability. He stated, "NAB Lahore organizes monthly open courts to address public grievances, providing a platform for affectees to voice their concerns." This statement underscores the bureau's dedication to not only investigating corruption but also ensuring that those who have been wronged receive the justice they deserve.

One of the key decisions made during the open court was the authorization of a full-fledged inquiry into the ForU Real Traders scandal. This inquiry will follow the verification of complaints from over 700 claimants, who have collectively submitted claims amounting to approximately Rs570 million. This move demonstrates NAB's resolve to hold accountable those who defraud innocent citizens.

In another significant development, DG Aulakh announced a settlement plan for the Khayaban-e-Ameen Housing Society, ensuring that every claimant will receive a plot. He assured the attendees, "NAB will not rest until the last claimant receives his plot." This commitment is crucial for restoring faith in the system and providing relief to those who have suffered due to fraudulent practices.

Furthermore, DG Aulakh directed his team to expedite the resolution of complaints related to Lahore Motorway City, ensuring that the complainants are satisfied with the outcomes. He also referred complaints against the administration of Lahore Garden to the Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer for further action. Regarding the Formanites Housing scam, he informed the affectees that NAB is actively working to auction seized properties to recover public investments, despite previous unsuccessful attempts.

The participants of the open court expressed their confidence in DG Aulakh's efforts and praised NAB Lahore for its proactive approach in addressing public grievances. They appreciated the bureau's commitment to holding responsible parties accountable for cheating and corruption. DG Aulakh reaffirmed the Chairman NAB's dedication to protecting public rights and promoting transparency within the organization.
