A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, visited Pakistan to discuss potential investment opportunities, including ventures involving Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). The delegation, which included key Saudi officials such as Deputy Minister of Investments Engineer Ibrahim bin Yusuf Al Mubarak and Minister of Environment, Water Resources, and Agriculture Abdul Rahman bin Abdulhamsin Al-Fazli, met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other government representatives.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the strong historical ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and discussed enhancing cooperation in trade and investment. The Pakistani government highlighted various investment prospects in sectors like transmission lines, solar projects, mining, and the privatization of airports. Additionally, proposals for joint ventures in luxury hotels and investment opportunities in PIA were presented to the Saudi delegation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia's continued support to Pakistan and welcomed the delegation's visit as a step towards strengthening strategic and commercial partnerships between the two countries. The delegation also acknowledged Pakistan's efforts to promote foreign investment and assured their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and trade partnerships.

The visit follows Prime Minister Shehbaz's recent trip to Riyadh, where discussions on a substantial investment package took place. The delegation's arrival in Pakistan signifies a significant milestone in fostering economic cooperation and attracting substantial investments from Saudi Arabia, aligning with Pakistan's goal of revitalizing its economy through strategic partnerships.
