BISP Supports Thousands of Women in Sargodha District

In the first quarter of 2024, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) extended a helping hand to 119,990 deserving women in Sargodha. This initiative aimed to support women in need by providing them with financial aid.

Breaking down the numbers, the assistance was distributed across various tehsils in Sargodha district. In Bhalwal tehsil, 12,158 families out of 18,983 beneficiaries received Rs10,500 each. Similarly, in Sahiwal tehsil, 11,662 out of 13,426 women were assisted. In Sargodha tehsil, 47,301 out of 71,550 beneficiaries, and in Shahpur tehsil, 12,573 out of 16,924 beneficiaries received support through the BISP program.

Furthermore, in Silanwali tehsil, 12,519 out of 16,613 beneficiaries were provided with financial aid. Kot Momin tehsil saw 15,955 women out of 22,244 beneficiaries availing the assistance. Additionally, in Bhera tehsil, 2,415 registered beneficiaries out of 6,202 received aid from BISP.

It is worth noting that camp sites were established to cater to the beneficiaries' needs, operating from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm.
