Former PML-N members Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi launch Awaam Pakistan, a new political party in Pakistan emphasizing inclusivity, meritocracy, and a fresh approach to governance.

Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) members Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have officially unveiled a new political entity named Awaam Pakistan. The primary objective of this freshly established party is to tackle the prevailing challenges within the nation and is welcoming all interested individuals to join its ranks.

Awaam Pakistan initially captured public attention last month through a video shared on the party's social media platforms, featuring the slogan 'Awaam Pakistan: Badlein ge nizam' (People of Pakistan: We will change the system). The video showcased concerned citizens raising pertinent queries regarding various national issues, with endorsements from Ismail and Abbasi.

The formal inauguration of Awaam Pakistan occurred in Islamabad, where Ismail underscored the party's vision of ensuring equal economic opportunities for all Pakistanis. He explicitly stated that the party would steer clear of hereditary politics and the promotion of a 'messiah' figure.

Ismail extended an invitation to individuals who are committed to propelling the country forward to join Awaam Pakistan, guaranteeing support in the reconstruction of Pakistan. Furthermore, he outlined that senior party members would be restricted to serving two terms, with no provision for their offspring to inherit their positions. The party's organizational framework will be grounded in meritocracy, eschewing dynasties or personality cults.

The emergence of Awaam Pakistan under the leadership of Miftah Ismail and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi marks a significant development in Pakistan's political landscape. With a focus on inclusivity, meritocracy, and a commitment to addressing national issues, the party aims to offer a fresh approach to governance. As Awaam Pakistan garners support and shapes its agenda, its impact on the country's political discourse remains to be seen.
