Republican candidate Donald Trump's presidential campaign recently got a significant financial boost of $50 million from conservative billionaire Timothy Mellon. This generous contribution was disclosed in a federal filing by the Super-Pac fund known as 'MAGA Inc.' The fund reported receiving over $68 million in donations last month, with Mellon contributing $50 million and billionaires Liz and Dick Uihlein contributing an additional $10 million.

Timothy Mellon, a descendant of the Mellon banking family based in Pittsburgh, made the donation the day after Trump's conviction on multiple charges in his New York hush-money trial. Apart from supporting Trump, Mellon has also been a major donor to independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., providing at least $20 million to the pro-Kennedy Super-Pac American Values.

Super-Pacs, which are independent political action committees, have the ability to raise unlimited funds to support election candidates. Thanks to Mellon's contributions, pro-Trump allies have been able to outspend President Joe Biden's supporters in recent campaign efforts. Mellon, an aviation enthusiast with investments in transportation companies, resides in Wyoming and maintains a low public profile. The Mellon family's estimated net worth is approximately $14.1 billion.
