In a recent meeting addressing fertilizer availability and distribution, she emphasized a strict stance against hoarding and smuggling of fertilizers. The chief minister directed authorities to take decisive actions to curb these illegal activities and stressed the importance of reliable procedures to ensure farmers have access to essential fertilizers.

Furthermore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif instructed the implementation of digital monitoring systems to track the fertilizer supply chain effectively. She also approved the establishment of a dedicated helpline for farmers to enroll in the Kisan Card Programme, aiming to streamline support for agricultural needs. The meeting highlighted Punjab's substantial demand for urea fertilizer, with a significant portion of the country's production allocated to the province's crops.

Discussing the positive trend of decreasing fertilizer prices, the meeting explored recommendations for amending the Pesticide and Fertilizer Act. Various government officials and ministers participated in the session to address crucial agricultural concerns and ensure sustainable farming practices.

In a separate engagement with Members of the Provincial Assembly, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif outlined government initiatives to enhance public welfare. She detailed plans to lower food prices through a dedicated price control system and introduce a comprehensive Kisan Card project to provide direct subsidies to farmers. Additionally, proposals to reduce import duties on agricultural machinery were discussed to support farming communities.
