DG ISPR strongly condemns PTI for damaging military installations during riots, emphasizing respect for national institutions and the rule of law.

Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj-Gen Ahmed Sharif has strongly criticized Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for their involvement in the damaging of military installations during the riots that took place on May 9. The DG referred to PTI as an 'anarchist group' and emphasized the need to hold the perpetrators accountable to uphold the integrity of Pakistan's justice system.

During a press conference in Rawalpindi addressing the tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, DG ISPR highlighted the vandalism carried out by PTI workers and supporters following the arrest of Imran Khan. Footages of the riots were shared, revealing the extent of the damage caused by PTI members.

It was noted that several PTI leaders distanced themselves from the party in light of the attacks on military installations. DG ISPR reiterated that there would be no negotiations with PTI, citing their disrespect towards national martyrs and the army as reasons for the stance.

The public and the army have been presented with undeniable evidence regarding the events of May 9, with DG ISPR stressing that innocent youths were misled through false propaganda against the army and its institutions.

The military's firm stance against PTI's actions underscores the importance of upholding respect for national institutions and the rule of law. The condemnation serves as a reminder of the consequences of undermining the country's security and stability.
