The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan faces obstacles as district administration cancels rally permission, leading to legal action and postponement. PTI persists in advocating for Imran Khan through legal means amidst ongoing tensions with authorities.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), a political party led by former prime minister Imran Khan, encountered a hurdle in its plans for a public rally in Islamabad. The district administration, citing security concerns and the start of Muharram, withdrew the permission initially granted by the Islamabad High Court. This decision led to the postponement of the rally, disappointing the PTI.

Following the cancellation, the PTI took legal action by filing a contempt petition against the district administration and police. The party accused them of obstructing a court-authorized event and claimed that the reasons for revoking the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) were politically motivated and a violation of court orders. However, the proceedings were delayed due to the unavailability of the Islamabad High Court Chief Justice.

In response to the situation, the PTI held a political committee meeting and announced the postponement of the rally at a press conference. PTI Chairman Gohar Khan reiterated the party's commitment to obtaining permissions through legal means. Since Imran Khan's arrest last year on corruption charges, the PTI has faced challenges in organizing rallies to advocate for his release, alleging government crackdowns and arrests of its members.

The PTI's struggle to hold its planned rally highlights the ongoing tensions between the party and the authorities in Pakistan. Despite facing obstacles, the PTI remains determined to navigate legal channels for its political activities and continues to advocate for its imprisoned leader, Imran Khan.
