Saudi Arabia's Shoura Council Speaker, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Asheikh, recently visited Jordan and met with King Abdullah II to strengthen ties between the two nations. The meeting, attended by Crown Prince Hussein, focused on enhancing cooperation in various fields, particularly in parliamentary affairs. Discussions highlighted the enduring fraternal relations between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, emphasizing the importance of collaboration on mutual interests.
Dr. Al-Asheikh led a delegation to Jordan in response to an invitation from Ahmed Safadi, the Speaker of the Jordanian House of Representatives. During a separate meeting, both speakers explored avenues to bolster parliamentary cooperation and deepen ties across different sectors. The visit underscored the commitment of both countries to fortify bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for collaboration to benefit their citizens.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Dr. Al-Asheikh emphasized the significance of strengthening parliamentary ties in alignment with the shared goals of Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Safadi acknowledged the robust relationship between the two nations and praised the close coordination between the Shoura Council and the Jordanian House of Representatives.
