Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman highlights the significant tax gap between the salaried class and feudal lords in Pakistan, raising concerns about fairness and equality in the tax system and economic policies.

Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has brought attention to the significant gap in tax contributions between the salaried class and feudal lords in Pakistan. He highlighted that while the salaried class has paid a substantial amount of 360 billion rupees in taxes, the feudal lords have only contributed a mere four billion rupees. This stark difference raises questions about the fairness of the current tax system.

Naeem raised concerns about the tax burden on the feudal class, especially in light of the recent salary increases for government employees. He pointed out that the private sector, with its larger workforce, is also facing challenges, as employees are not seeing adequate salary increments. This disparity in treatment between different sectors of the economy is a cause for worry.

Moreover, Naeem criticized the government's efforts to control price hikes, stating that the public is still struggling with rising costs. He emphasized the need for a more equitable distribution of tax responsibilities, calling for a fairer system that does not disproportionately burden the salaried class.

Naeem echoed the Prime Minister's promise that the current IMF package would be the last for Pakistan. However, he stressed the importance of ensuring that this commitment is upheld and that future economic policies prioritize fairness and equality for all citizens.
