Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have submitted a formal request to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to transfer the Iddat Nikkah case back to Judge Shahrukh Arjumand of the Islamabad district and session court. This legal move comes as part of ongoing proceedings related to Bushra Bibi's previous marriage.

The petition was reviewed by IHC Judge Miangul Hasan Aurangzeb, who carefully considered objections raised by the registrar's office. In response, notices were issued to Khawar Maneka, Bushra Bibi's former husband, to ensure all relevant parties are informed and involved in the process.

During the hearing, Imran Khan's lawyer, Salman Safdar, advocated for the case to be returned to Judge Shahrukh Arjumand or for the IHC to directly oversee the plea. This strategic legal maneuver aims to streamline the legal proceedings and ensure a fair and efficient resolution to the matter.

The request made by Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi to transfer the Iddat Nikkah case demonstrates their commitment to addressing legal matters diligently and transparently. By engaging with the judicial system in a proactive manner, the couple seeks to uphold the principles of justice and uphold the rule of law. As the case progresses, further updates are expected to shed light on the intricacies of this legal process.
