KARACHI - In a significant development, Mufti-e-Azam Pakistan Mufti Muneeb has publicly declared his support for the upcoming Alaqsa Million March, organized by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi. This march is scheduled to take place on October 6 at Shahrah-e-Faisal, a prominent location in the city. The announcement came after JI Karachi Ameer Monem Zafar, accompanied by a delegation, visited Mufti Muneeb at Jamia Naeemia on Thursday to extend an invitation to the march.

During a joint press conference following the meeting, Monem Zafar addressed the pressing issues faced by the Muslim community, particularly focusing on the ongoing Israeli brutalities and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Lebanon. He expressed his concerns regarding the role of Muslim leaders, stating that their silence and inaction have allowed the Israeli regime to perpetuate its atrocities. Zafar emphasized that the Muslim Ummah is not united in its response to these challenges, which has further complicated the situation.

Highlighting the deep emotional connection that the Muslim Ummah shares with their brothers and sisters in Gaza and Lebanon, Zafar remarked, "The hearts of the Muslim Ummah beat with their brothers and sisters in Gaza and Lebanon." He called upon the residents of Karachi to actively participate in the million march, urging them to raise their voices in solidarity with Palestinians and other victims of Israeli aggression.

Mufti Muneeb, while endorsing the march, echoed Zafar's sentiments and stressed the importance of collective action. He stated, "It is a religious and national obligation to express solidarity with Palestinians." His call to action resonated with the audience, as he urged Karachiites to join the march and stand against the injustices faced by their fellow Muslims.

Moreover, Mufti Muneeb pointed out the double standards exhibited by the global community regarding the Palestinian issue. He criticized the lack of consistent support for the oppressed, which has led to a prolonged state of suffering for many. This perspective sheds light on the broader implications of international politics on local communities and highlights the need for a unified response from the Muslim world.

As the date of the Alaqsa Million March approaches, it is crucial for individuals to reflect on the significance of their participation. This event is not merely a demonstration; it is a powerful statement of unity and solidarity with those who are suffering. By joining together, the people of Karachi can send a clear message that they stand with their brothers and sisters in Palestine and beyond, advocating for justice and peace in a world that often seems indifferent to their plight.
