In a significant moment for Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Culture Attaullah Tarar has praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his impactful speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). During this historic address, PM Shehbaz effectively represented the Palestinian cause, positioning himself as a leader of the Muslim Ummah. This speech has garnered global appreciation, marking a proud moment for Pakistan on the international stage.

At a press conference, Minister Tarar highlighted that PM Shehbaz's address was not only well-received but also served as a platform to champion the causes of the Muslim community, particularly focusing on Palestine and Kashmir. The Prime Minister's bilateral meetings with various heads of state during the UNGA session were described as fruitful, further solidifying Pakistan's role as a key player in international relations.

Tarar emphasized that the Prime Minister's vocal advocacy for Palestine was acknowledged by the international community, which he deemed a matter of pride for Pakistan. He reiterated that PM Shehbaz has consistently raised the Palestinian issue at all international forums, shedding light on the ongoing genocide and war crimes faced by Palestinians in Gaza. The Minister noted that the Prime Minister's address was among the most viewed events online, reflecting the sentiments of the entire Muslim Ummah.

In a show of solidarity, the Pakistani delegation, led by PM Shehbaz, boycotted the address of the Israeli Prime Minister, a move that was echoed by representatives from several other countries. This act of defiance resulted in Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu delivering his speech to an almost empty hall, underscoring the collective stance against Israel's actions.

Furthermore, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed gratitude towards Pakistan for its unwavering support, referring to PM Shehbaz as his brother. The Palestinian President acknowledged Pakistan's contributions, including the provision of medical supplies and educational opportunities for Palestinian students in Pakistani medical colleges.

In addition to advocating for Palestine, PM Shehbaz also addressed the Kashmir issue during his UNGA speech, highlighting the struggles faced by Kashmiris under the Modi regime. He criticized India's actions, which he claimed were aimed at converting the Muslim majority in occupied Kashmir into a minority. The Prime Minister's warnings against any misadventures by India were also noted, reflecting Pakistan's commitment to defending its sovereignty.

Minister Tarar pointed out that the Prime Minister's speech received widespread acclaim from the Pakistani populace, including support from the opposition party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). This unity in appreciation signifies a collective recognition of the importance of advocating for the rights of Muslims globally.

On the economic front, Tarar mentioned that international financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, have acknowledged Pakistan's economic growth. The reduction in inflation and the increase in the growth rate were highlighted as indicators of economic stability. The Minister also noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised the improvements in Pakistan's economy, further enhancing the country's international standing.

As the price of petrol continues to decrease for the fifth consecutive time, the government is urged to focus on controlling prices and addressing terrorism rather than engaging in political disputes. Tarar warned that any attempts to create chaos would not be tolerated, emphasizing the importance of parliamentary supremacy in legislative matters.

PM Shehbaz Sharif's address at the UNGA not only reinforced Pakistan's commitment to the Palestinian cause but also highlighted the nation's stance on Kashmir. The global recognition of Pakistan's economic progress and the unity displayed by its leadership in advocating for Muslim rights are promising signs for the country's future. As Pakistan continues to navigate complex international relations, the emphasis on solidarity and economic stability will be crucial in shaping its global image.
