PTI's Information Secretary sheds light on the party's stance regarding Fawad Chaudhry's potential return, highlighting skepticism and reluctance to reintegrate former leaders amidst controversy.

Amidst speculation surrounding the potential return of Fawad Chaudhry to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), the party's Information Secretary, Raoof Hasan, has shed light on PTI's stance. Hasan expressed skepticism regarding Fawad's readmission, citing a lack of communication from PTI's founder, Imran Khan, on the matter. He emphasized PTI's reluctance to reintegrate former leaders who departed during challenging times, labeling such attempts as opportunistic.

Hasan went on to dismiss the intentions of ex-members seeking readmission, likening them to rats attempting to disrupt PTI's unity. Similarly, PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat acknowledged efforts to bring Fawad back into the party but highlighted reservations among leadership and workers due to past actions, including allegations against Imran Khan.

The controversy surrounding Fawad Chaudhry stemmed from his actions following Imran Khan's arrest on May 10, 2023, which led to his departure from PTI amidst the May 9 unrest. Despite being released on bail on April 6, 2024, after facing legal challenges, Fawad's return to PTI appears unlikely given the party's unwavering stance on the matter.

PTI's firm position on Fawad Chaudhry's potential readmission underscores the party's commitment to maintaining internal cohesion and upholding its principles. The reluctance to reintegrate former members who departed during tumultuous periods reflects PTI's resolve to prioritize unity and integrity within its ranks.
