Rana Sanaullah criticizes PTI for low turnout, emphasizes PML-N's commitment to election integrity and calls for constructive dialogue for electoral reform.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Rana Sanaullah made significant remarks regarding the voter turnout in the recent by-elections, emphasizing the implications for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Sanaullah highlighted that PTI supporters were notably absent during the by-elections, indicating a 'big message' for the ruling party.

During an interview on Geo News, Sanaullah expressed satisfaction with his party's performance in the polls and stressed their commitment to accepting election outcomes. He urged political parties to address election-related complaints through proper channels and criticized PTI's approach of challenging the system rather than working within it.

Reflecting on the by-polls, Sanaullah noted the typical low voter turnout and explained that loyal supporters usually participate in such events. He reassured that PML-N was monitoring the poll results closely and would raise complaints if any irregularities were observed.

Furthermore, Sanaullah called for constructive dialogue between PTI and PML-N to reform the electoral system instead of resorting to disruptive tactics. He extended an invitation to all political stakeholders to collaborate for the country's betterment.

PTI's Ali Muhammad Khan responded by asserting his party's strong public support and refuting claims of poll rigging. He alleged coercion of polling staff and criticized the handling of the by-elections, suggesting interference in the election results.

The by-polls, held on 21 national and provincial assembly seats, were marred by violent clashes between political party workers in Punjab, prompting the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to intervene. The ECP addressed incidents of violence and complaints, including the unfortunate death of a PML-N worker in Narowal.

The recent by-elections in Pakistan have sparked debates and controversies surrounding voter turnout, election integrity, and political party conduct. The contrasting perspectives of PML-N and PTI leaders underscore the ongoing challenges in the country's electoral processes, emphasizing the need for transparency, dialogue, and adherence to democratic principles.
