Sharjeel Memon accuses PTI of a conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan amid ongoing protests, urging unity for national stability.
KARACHI: In a recent press conference, Sindh Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon made serious allegations against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, claiming that they are involved in a conspiracy aimed at destabilizing Pakistan. Memon's remarks come in the wake of ongoing protests in Islamabad, which he attributes to a political party's actions that are causing significant hardships for the residents of the capital.
Memon emphasized that the unrest is not merely a spontaneous event but rather a calculated effort by certain individuals to undermine the development and security of the nation. He pointed out that this chaos is particularly concerning given the concurrent visits of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Shanghai Conference, suggesting that the timing of these protests is not coincidental.
During the press conference, Memon accused the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of orchestrating an attack on the federal capital, allegedly using a militant group equipped with sticks and machinery. He expressed concern that government resources are being misused for these disruptive activities, which he claims are designed to incite anarchy and challenge the stability of Pakistan.
Furthermore, Memon highlighted the involvement of external figures, such as Zach Goldsmith, a relative of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has made controversial statements supporting Israel's actions against Lebanon and Iran. Memon criticized Goldsmith's remarks, suggesting that they reflect a broader agenda to weaken Pakistan from within.
In his address, Memon also dismissed claims made by PTI leaders regarding the invitation of Indian ministers to speak at D Chowk, asserting that no formal requests have been made for such appearances. He reiterated that hostile forces are attempting to destabilize Pakistan through chaos, as they are unable to confront the country's strong defense directly.
Memon further elaborated on the sacrifices made by the People’s Party, stating that they are committed to the welfare of the people, including the construction of one million houses for the homeless. He expressed a desire for all institutions in Pakistan to remain strong and stable, emphasizing the importance of an independent judiciary.
In closing, Memon reflected on the current political climate, urging all parties to prioritize the nation's stability over personal or political ambitions. He called for unity among the people of Pakistan, highlighting that every life is precious and that the focus should remain on building a prosperous future for the country. As the political landscape continues to evolve, it is crucial for citizens to remain informed and engaged, ensuring that the democratic values of Pakistan are upheld.
