KARACHI - In recent times, the issue of crime, particularly cybercrime, has become a pressing concern in Pakistan. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) plays a crucial role in addressing these challenges, ensuring the safety and security of citizens. On Tuesday, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori acknowledged the FIA's efforts during a meeting with the Director of FIA Sindh, Nauman Siddiqui, at the Governor House. The governor emphasized the necessity of adopting modern technology to effectively combat crime, viewing this as a significant advancement in the fight against illegal activities.
During their discussion, Tessori and Siddiqui covered various topics, including strategies for preventing cybercrimes, curbing illegal activities, and implementing anti-corruption measures. The governor pointed out that tackling illegal activities is vital for the economic prosperity of the region. In response, Director Nauman Siddiqui assured that the FIA is dedicated to utilizing modern technology to prevent such crimes.

Furthermore, Governor Kamran Khan Tessori stressed the urgent need for stringent measures to control crime in Karachi. He met with Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho, urging him to intensify efforts in apprehending criminals involved in street crime. The governor directed the police chief to enhance intelligence coordination and make effective use of closed-circuit cameras. He also called for increased police patrolling and snap-checking to ensure the safety of citizens.
