ICC Delegation Praises Punjab Police for Cricket Security

An esteemed security delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) recently visited the Central Police Office in Lahore to discuss security preparations for the upcoming international cricket matches in Punjab. The delegation, led by ICC's Safety and Security Manager David Muskar, engaged in a meeting with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and other key officials to ensure the safety of all stakeholders involved in the cricket events.

David Muskar, the Safety and Security Officer of ICC, praised the Punjab Police for their crucial role in bringing back international cricket to Pakistan. He commended the comprehensive security measures put in place, especially in Lahore, to guarantee the well-being of everyone participating in the matches.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the strict security protocols enforced, emphasizing the heightened measures at vital locations like airports, hotels, stadiums, and match routes to protect the cricket teams. He acknowledged the detailed planning and execution by various units of the Punjab Police, including Executive Police, Traffic Police, Elite, Dolphin, PRU, and Anti-Riot, who are dedicated to ensuring security during the matches.

Dr. Usman Anwar demonstrated the security situation and measures through the central dashboard at the CPO office. The meeting concluded with a gesture of gratitude from the Punjab Police to the head of the ICC delegation. Additional IG Operations Punjab Shahzada Sultan and AIG Operations Zahid Nawaz Marwat were also present during the meeting.
