Berlin Heals Holding AG introduces the C-MIC device, a groundbreaking heart failure treatment showing promising clinical outcomes and potential for global impact.

Berlin Heals Holding AG, a Swiss-based company, has unveiled the C-MIC device, a cutting-edge treatment for individuals suffering from heart failure, specifically dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). This innovative technology, designed to be easily implanted, has shown significant advancements in clinical outcomes for heart failure patients. By delivering a continuous electrical microcurrent, the device effectively improves the inflammatory conditions of the heart tissue and removes excess water from the heart.

In a recent randomized study, 35 patients received C-MIC implants, building on the positive results seen in a previous pilot study with 10 patients. With an additional CHF 10 million secured in funding, the company is on track for CE approval and is preparing for regulatory processes in the United States. These funds will also support the launch of initial studies in the US.

Over the past three years, Berlin Heals Holding AG has closely monitored patients from the pilot study, all of whom have maintained NYHA class 1 status, achieved a 6-minute walk distance of around 400 meters, and reported significant improvements in their overall well-being. With an investment of approximately CHF 40 million in technology development and market approval, the company aims to obtain CE certification by late 2025 or early 2026.

The FDA has shown keen interest in approving the C-MIC implant in the US, recognizing its potential to transform heart failure treatment. Marko Bagaric, the CEO of Berlin Heals Holding AG, is confident in the device's ability to enhance patients' quality of life and extend their life expectancy. Following a simple procedure, patients experience a gentle continuous microcurrent that leads to a rapid improvement in well-being.

Founded in 2014, Berlin Heals Holding AG is a private Swiss company with operations in Germany and the USA. The C-MIC device offers a state-of-the-art solution for individuals grappling with heart failure, providing a compact implant that delivers a gentle electrical current to the heart, resulting in significant and sustained cardiac enhancement. To date, approximately 50 patients have successfully undergone C-MIC implantation.

The introduction of the C-MIC device by Berlin Heals Holding AG marks a significant milestone in the field of heart failure treatment. With promising results from clinical studies and ongoing developments, this innovative technology has the potential to revolutionize how heart failure is managed, offering hope for improved outcomes and enhanced quality of life for patients worldwide.
