GoodWe Australia hosts its inaugural awards at All Energy 2024, celebrating solar achievements and community contributions.
GoodWe Australia recently hosted its inaugural awards event at All Energy 2024, a significant occasion that celebrated the achievements in the solar energy sector and the contributions made to local communities. This event brought together industry leaders, innovators, and community advocates to recognize those who have made remarkable strides in advancing clean energy solutions.
The evening was a grand affair, honouring eight distinguished award winners along with several nominees who have shown exceptional commitment to the solar industry. Among the notable recipients was Solahart Industries Pty Ltd, which was awarded the title of "Top Energy Storage Retailer of the Year." OSW (One Stop Warehouse) was celebrated as the "Distributor of the Year," while Solar Panel Options received recognition as the "Top C&I Retailer of the Year." Alspec Solar was awarded the "BIPV Dealership of the Year" for its impressive range of PV Building Materials.
In addition to these accolades, Ian Gittus from UV Power was commended with the "Individual Outstanding Commitment" award. Solar Naturally was recognized as the "Top Residential Retailer," and Resinc Solar earned the "Retailer Outstanding Commitment" award. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the award to Six Star Plus, presented by Roshan Ramnarain from Energy Matters. Six Star Plus was chosen for their extraordinary community efforts throughout the year, which included initiatives such as community kitchens, forest regeneration, litter collection, and raising nearly $20,000 for Myeloma Australia, a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by bone marrow cancer.
Moreover, nominees for the GoodWill Award, including Original Power, Bushgrid, AWM Echuca, Matthias Huchel from AGL, and SolEnergy Group, were acknowledged with gift card vouchers for their inspiring contributions across Australia. The event provided a vibrant atmosphere filled with networking opportunities, allowing guests to interact with industry leaders from organizations such as the Smart Energy Council, AWISE (Australian Women in Solar Energy), and Energy Matters.
Dean Williamson, the Country Manager for GoodWe Australia, expressed the purpose behind organizing this awards event, stating, "The reason we wanted to organise this awards event is to recognise the remarkable efforts we have witnessed this year in advancing clean energy and supporting communities. To highlight those who go above and beyond, not only in solar innovation but also in making a meaningful impact across Australia. It was a privilege to celebrate such dedication and passion with our partners and we look forward to our 2025 awards event next year." This sentiment underscores the importance of collaboration and recognition in the renewable energy sector.
GoodWe is a prominent manufacturer of PV inverters and energy storage systems, listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. With nearly 5000 employees across 15 countries and a dedicated team of over 1000 engineers, GoodWe has established itself as a leader in the industry. The company’s storage inverters were ranked among the top three globally by Wood Mackenzie in 2022, and it has consistently received accolades for product quality.
The inaugural awards event by GoodWe Australia not only highlighted the achievements within the solar industry but also emphasized the vital role of community engagement in fostering sustainable practices. As the world continues to shift towards renewable energy, events like these serve as a reminder of the collective efforts needed to create a greener future. The recognition of both individual and organizational contributions is essential in motivating further advancements in clean energy solutions.
