Huawei's Xinghe Intelligent Network is transforming telecommunications, enhancing operations and driving growth for carriers worldwide.

The world of telecommunications is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by advancements in technology and the increasing demand for faster, more reliable services. At the forefront of this evolution is Huawei's Xinghe Intelligent Network, which is now being commercially utilized by leading carriers around the globe. This innovative solution is designed to enhance network performance and drive revenue growth, particularly in the emerging Net5.5G era.

During a recent keynote speech at the Ultra-Broadband Forum (UBBF) 2024 in Istanbul, Leon Wang, President of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, highlighted the importance of the Xinghe Intelligent Network. He emphasized how this solution is helping carriers optimize their operations and improve customer experiences. As industries rapidly transition into the artificial intelligence (AI) era, the need for advanced data communication networks has never been more critical.

Huawei first introduced the concept of the Net5.5G target network at UBBF 2023, and the subsequent launch of the Xinghe Intelligent Network Solution at MWC Shanghai 2024 marked a significant milestone. This solution has already been adopted by 40 carriers across more than 20 countries, showcasing its effectiveness in driving business success.

One of the standout features of the Xinghe Intelligent Network is its ability to enhance service monetization. By utilizing automatic optimization capabilities, the solution can significantly reduce network congestion caused by frequent fiber cuts. This optimization process, which previously took up to five days, can now be completed in just minutes. As a result, service experiences are improved, complaint rates have dropped by 80%, and revenue has surged by an estimated US$4 million per month.

Moreover, the introduction of Huawei's 400GE routers has allowed carriers to reduce their capital expenditures (CAPEX) by 50%. These routers are known for their high density and reliability, enabling carriers to build a converged transport network that can adapt to the anticipated 50% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in traffic over the next three years. This adaptability is crucial as the demand for 5G, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), and video services continues to grow.

Wang also discussed how carriers are leveraging AI to explore new opportunities for growth. For instance, services like Data Express allow enterprises to send large data samples to intelligent computing data centers, while long-distance lossless transmission services facilitate collaborative training across data centers. Additionally, the innovative use of AI to enhance network security is helping to mitigate risks associated with cyber threats.

The commercial use of the Xinghe Intelligent Network is not just a technological advancement; it represents a significant shift in how carriers operate and serve their customers. As the telecommunications industry continues to evolve, solutions like Huawei's Xinghe Intelligent Network will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of connectivity. By embracing these innovations, carriers can unlock new opportunities, enhance their service offerings, and ultimately drive their businesses forward in an increasingly competitive landscape.
