The Special Communications Organization (SCO) is making significant strides in promoting information technology among the youth of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). This initiative is crucial as the world becomes increasingly reliant on technology, and it is essential for the younger generation to be equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in this digital age.

During a recent meeting with the Commissioner of Mirpur Division, Lieutenant Colonel Adeel Malik, the head of SCO Mirpur Division, outlined various ongoing and future projects aimed at enhancing IT skills in the region. He emphasized that these efforts are part of a broader strategy directed by Major General Umar Ahmad Shah, the Director General of SCO. The organization is dedicated to providing the latest internet services and IT training to empower the youth, ensuring they are not left behind in this fast-paced technological landscape.

Among the notable projects mentioned were the establishment of Freelancing Hubs at various locations, including Park and Kunian, Tatta Pani, and Khairowal. These hubs are designed to facilitate training and provide resources for young individuals interested in freelancing and other IT-related careers. Lt Col Adeel Malik highlighted the importance of these initiatives, stating that they aim to connect the youth with essential IT skills right from their doorstep. He believes that today's educated youth can significantly contribute to the country's development by becoming self-sufficient through knowledge and expertise in the IT field.

Commissioner Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain praised the efforts of SCO, describing their initiatives as a milestone in the region's technological advancement. He noted that SCO has maintained a commendable reputation, free from complaints, which is a testament to its successful operations. The Commissioner expressed his full support for SCO's endeavors, assuring that the divisional administration would cooperate in promoting telecommunications technology for public benefit.

The steps taken by the SCO to enhance information technology skills among the youth in AJK and GB are not just about providing training; they are about building a future where young individuals can thrive in a digital economy. By investing in the youth today, we are paving the way for a more prosperous tomorrow, where they can contribute meaningfully to society and the economy. The commitment of organizations like SCO is vital in ensuring that the next generation is well-prepared to face the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.
