PMD Forecasts Hot Weather with Possibility of Rain in Karachi

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted hot weather in Karachi with a possibility of drizzling at night. The city is expected to experience continued hot and humid conditions over the next 24 hours. Today, the recorded minimum temperature was 30.5°C, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34°C to 36°C. Humidity levels are at 73%, and sea winds are blowing at a speed of 21 kilometres per hour.

Residents of Karachi have been eagerly awaiting relief from the recent heatwave. While there have been scattered drizzles in some areas, the weather remains oppressive. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz has indicated that the city may witness rainfall after July 8, as the PMD anticipates significant monsoon activity in the coming week due to strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.
