The Saudi Fund for Development and El Salvador sign an agreement to support a water treatment and energy generation project, showcasing a commitment to sustainable development goals and strengthening bilateral ties.
The Saudi Fund for Development, represented by CEO Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, has taken a significant step towards fostering developmental cooperation with El Salvador. An agreement was signed between Al-Marshad and El Salvador's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Hill Tinoco, to facilitate collaborative projects and programs. The signing ceremony, held in Riyadh, also saw the presence of Haytham bin Hassan Al-Malki, the Kingdom's ambassador to Mexico and non-resident ambassador to El Salvador, along with El Salvador's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ricardo Ernesto Cucalon Levy.
The agreement focuses on financing a crucial initiative involving a water treatment and energy generation project utilizing biogas in the Acelhuate River region. This project will be supported by a development loan from the Saudi fund, emphasizing the fund's commitment to assisting various countries in meeting essential needs for sustainable growth and prosperity.
