BURAIDAH: The healthcare landscape in Saudi Arabia is undergoing a significant transformation, particularly in the Qassim region. Recently, the Saudi Health Minister, Fahad Al-Jalajel, made a visit to Qassim to unveil a series of new healthcare projects aimed at improving the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of medical services for the local population. This initiative is part of the broader Health Sector Transformation Program, which is a crucial element of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The vision seeks to create a 'vibrant society' where citizens can enjoy a healthy and prosperous life.

During his visit, Minister Al-Jalajel inaugurated several healthcare projects, which include a remarkable 54 initiatives with a total investment exceeding SR 448 million (approximately $119.4 million). Among the notable projects launched under the Qassim Health Cluster is a state-of-the-art dental center located in Unaizah. This facility is expected to provide comprehensive dental care to the residents, addressing a critical area of healthcare that often goes overlooked. Additionally, community-supported initiatives worth nearly SR 102 million have been introduced, further enhancing the healthcare framework in the region.

Some of the highlights of the newly inaugurated projects include the Prince Faisal bin Mishaal Fertility Center in Buraidah, which aims to support families in their journey towards parenthood. The Abdullah Saleh Al-Othaim Diabetes Treatment Center at Al-Rass General Hospital is another significant addition, focusing on the management and treatment of diabetes, a growing health concern in the region. Furthermore, the Al-Rajhi Bank Cardiac Catheterization Center is set to provide specialized cardiac care, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.
