Saudi Ministry and Council Introduce New Regulation for Employee Safety

In a collaborative effort, the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health have introduced a new regulation to enhance the safety of private sector employees. This regulation, effective from June 15 to September 15, prohibits workers from working in direct sunlight between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM.

The primary goal of this three-month restriction is to safeguard employees from the intense midday heat, prioritizing their well-being and health. By aligning with global standards for occupational safety and health, this decision underscores the significance of ensuring a secure and healthy work environment for all workers.
